On low-tide evenings & mornings, these delicate shells were collected near the coastal mangroves of Obo-ob, Bantayan island, in the heart of the Philippine archipelago. As these shells attach to coastal rocks, roots and shorelines, they carry energy of islander strength & ocean waves.
Designed together with local artisans & members of the mangrove marine protected area & eco-park (Marilou Saraga Jarina / Jose & Janet Arranguez ), the pendants were carved by local crafter Noel Pacilan Miranda. These necklaces are a great addition to any summer fit to radiate the power and protection of the sea!
Different shells include sikad-sikad, pundok-pundok, wasay-wasay, sigay, nasa, batad-batad & tuway-tuway, laway-laway.
